I had experienced weight issues for most of my adult life. Then, I decided to quit drinking, smoking and drugs all together in 2007. I then lost about 60 pounds to go with my new life change. Well, after I got married, I gained it all back, and more! I decided enough is enough. After my wife India (she is also doing very well, I might add!) successfully had the surgery, I decided it was time for me to do it. I had reached my heaviest weight ever at 254 pounds, and my BMI was enough to meet the requirements for surgery. I had the surgery in August of 2015, and have lost 61 pounds. The surgery was successful with no complications, and I have maintained my weight loss for almost a year now. I am extremely happy and satisfied. I am so thankful for Dr. Umbach and his amazing staff. All the wonderful folks at Blossom have been fantastic through our journey, and me and my wife are grateful and thankful for that. I feel that I made the right choice, the right decision, and it has been tremendous knowing that I can eat smaller portions, and not have to deal with weight issues ever again.
