Hi, I’m Bobby Turner. I facilitate Blossom Buddies.
A little bit about me, Dr. Umbach contacted me about three years ago–I am a full-time therapist–and asked me if I would facilitate his support group for him. But that’s not what’s really interesting.
What’s really important is that I’m one of you. I had gastric bypass surgery eleven years ago this December.
If you’re not sure what you want to do, please come to support group. We meet four times a month. You’re welcome to come. You’re welcome to bring a support person with you and come complete with your questions, because there always are a lot of questions.
The surgery is a wonderful tool. What we add to the tool is the change of the way you think, your relationship with food, the way you feel about food, and the way you interact with other people regarding food.
We hold the group four times a month. The dates and times are listed on the website, so please feel free to look it up. Come join us.
There is no agenda. There is no plan for the group. What you bring to the table is what we talk about. We talk about what changes you can do and what helps you be successful long after you are no longer a part of the group.
