Hi. My name is Kimberly. On September 18th, 2014, I had my gastric sleeve performed by Dr. Umbach, who is absolutely amazing. I started at 305 lbs. and I’m currently at 271.5 lbs. I feel absolutely fantastic–I can get up the stairs without losing breath–I can play with my 2-year old daughter without getting exhausted easily. I feel a little pep in my step.

A final note is I know a lot of people discourage weight loss surgery, but, as an addict to food, it’s really important that people know that this is rock bottom–this is your last straw and this is to save your life. And, I really–in the two weeks [since] surgery–can say with confidence–100%–that I’ve got my life back and I feel great!
