I’ve been seeing Dr. Umbach–going through the process of having the surgery–for about four months because I had the gastric sleeve done and you need to have a little bit of information before that is done. Not as much information, but as documentation for your progress–that you’re really committed to it.
It’s been great!
I had the surgery a couple of weeks ago; I’ve already lost 28 lbs. and I look forward to losing–my goal is another 50 lbs.
I feel so much better already. I can already eat what I want, which is probably pretty rare at this point. Some patients have had some nausea and vomiting at the beginning, but I had none of that; I have been so lucky and so great.
Anybody will have no problem with Dr. Tom; he’s got such a great personality. He checks on you personally. He’s there for you all the way, and if you have question, you just call him.
The staff here has been very helpful to me. If I have a question, I can call. They’re all happy to see you and they’re very encouraging to help you get started and stay on track.
So, hopefully, I’ll be seeing you in another six months, 50 lbs. lighter and at my goal.
