I had my surgery on Dec 31, 2014. I was very impressed with the professional and kind staff. I was nervous about the preparation for surgery since I was out of state and would be flying in days before the surgery. A friend in my local area had to undergo 6 months of preparatory classes. However, the education and preparation by the Blossom Staff was extremely thorough. It began online with videos and worksheets that helped me evaluate my own emotional preparation for the surgery. When I arrived in Nevada my husband and I spent an entire day with the staff understanding the nutritional needs I would have after surgery, learning to eat with a “brand new baby stomach” and listening to my body for what it would and would not tolerate. I then had a private appt. with Dr. Tom, who reviewed my medical situation and talked me through personally just what the surgery would be like.

One year later I could not be more pleased with the surgery. It has been an amazing tool to help me deal with my food issues. As an emotional/stress eater it has caused me to deal with those emotions in a more healthy way. I have lost 70 lbs., my joints are thanking me everyday, I am much more active and I rarely get out of breath anymore. My decision was about how I wanted to grow older, and I am very grateful to Blossom Bariatrics for helping me make the right decision.

I am 5’6″ and my weight has dropped from 205 to 135. Thank you Dr. Tom and all the Blossom staff.
