On any weight loss journey, there are times when you feel more successful than others. The trick to overcoming the difficult times is being grateful for how far you have come. As your health and fitness goals become within reach, you will be thankful for both the good times, and the times you have struggled.
Being grateful for the times you have struggled does not always come easy, but the first step to getting there is learning to love the body you have now. By following our Love-Your-Body Gratitude Challenge for a 30-day period, you will begin to love your body now, and may even be able to lose a few pounds during the holiday ‘eating season.’
The Love-Your-Body Gratitude Challenge consists of three parts:
Step 1: Stand in front of a mirror and say “thank you,” out loud to the parts of your body you don’t like.
Step 2: Make a gratitude list every night of 5 things about your body you are grateful for. It could be a mouth to talk, eyes to see, legs to walk, etc.
Step 3: Take a gratitude walk where you spend time being grateful for your body. Reflect on your weight loss journey, how far you’ve come, and how you’ve handled the stumbling blocks along the way. Be grateful to your body for adapting and changing.
By following this challenge, you will find yourself more thankful for the body you have, and the progress it is making. You will also be able to look back on your weight loss journey so far and be grateful for every step along the way. Share with us on the Blossom Facebook page how your 30-day challenge is going with the hashtag #gratitudebodychallenge. We are thankful to be a part of your journey and look forward to seeing the progress you are making!
